We pride ourselves in providing a teaching scheme recognised by the A.S.A (Amateur Swimming Association) and also in providing a transition from the teaching scheme to squad training for those swimmers who would like to join the Swimming Club and train regularly.
Each swimmer is treated as an individual and encouraged by our professional, qualified and friendly teachers. We are fully inclusive and encourage all children to be the best they can. When needed there are helpers in the water to support both swimmer and teacher. However, classes are arranged according to ability and are structured to allow optimum learning in a personalised manner.
Each lesson lasts for 30 minutes, from Parent and Child through to Pre-Advanced and run in 10 week blocks throughout the year. Swimmers work towards Awards and are assessed on their progress each term. All swimmers will be able to show off their new skills during watching week which is towards the end of every block of lessons.
Beginners work towards achieving their 25m.
Improvers work along A.S.A. Water Skills Awards and Levels 1 -7 to introduce and improve swimming skills and stroke technique.
Pre-advanced progress to swimming lengths where technique and stamina are developed.
Advanced lessons are of 60 minutes duration and progress the swimmer through ASA Levels 8 to 12 and onto Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.
Our lessons take part on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings, Saturday morning and Sunday lunchtime. To find out more about the lesson times please click here or contact firstname.lastname@example.org
